
About Taverna Brillo
The doors to Taverna Brillo opened in 2011 with the ambition of becoming one of Sweden's leading brasseries and to create Sweden's best pizza. Today it has become a popular venue for a broad audience, where you come for an extraordinary dining experience.
With love and pride
Since Brillo's conception, a lot has happened within our walls. It started with Magnus Nilsson (former chef) asking himself what he might discover if he combined signature Italian dishes with traditional Swedish food. He used toppings such as roe, priest cheese, red onion, dill, and lemon, giving one of the most traditional Italian dishes a new form. This is how Löjromspizzan (Whitefish Roe Pizza), a modern classic, was born. In the same way, we made bruschetta with toppings of duck liver and crab - something that also molded Brillo's identity - Italian cuisine with a modern Swedish twist.
When relatives of 60 people gather, it is not only about the food but also about the company and the tradition.
Since then, the menu has gone from Swedish to Italian, where our current chef Edoardo Ottati has left his mark on the food. He gets his inspiration from his grandmother's food in Naples, Italy. When 60 of his relatives gathered, it wasn’t just about the food, but also about the company and the tradition.
Brillo has always been about more than the actual dining experience. Just as our name suggests; "Taverna" - a public place where guests can order food and drinks, and "Brillo" which means "sunbeam" or "saloon drunk", that's also how we want your experience to be; inspiring, radiantly happy and intoxicated by the surroundings.
